skydiving santa in riviera nayaritWhat’s December without Santa, or if you really get into the Christmas spirit, without many Santas. We like the cherry-nosed toy deliverer best in his red velvet suit, but we understand that sometimes other togs work better for him. Here are six Santas we think might be worth traveling to see. They’ll be fun both with kids who are young enough to be true believers and those old enough to know better.

Here are six unique Santas.

Skydiving Santa

At the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico, Father Christmas drops in on hotel’s beach on Christmas morning.  After the Skydive on Las Cuevas Beach Santa and his elves hand out gifts and kids get to whack piñatas for more treats.

When: In 2016, he lands on Christmas morning.

What a neat idea! I’d love to see Parachute Santas. I’ve lived in San Diego for many years and didn’t know about Surfin’ Santa. We may need to try and catch him next year. Thanks!

The skiing Santas are my favorite. I like that practically anyone can participate as long as they’re one of the first to show up in a Santa suit. I wonder if they often max out.
